Jeff S. Long grew up on a dairy farm in Sinking Valley, Pennsylvania. He started his construction business in 1980 by building residential homes. After almost 20 years in the business, he expanded, building 3 personal care homes, now known as Colonial Courtyard, and then into independent living apartment complexes. He now owns and operates 13 Graystone Court independent living apartment complexes for those 55+ across Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Clearfield and Jefferson counties. Building number 14 is currently under construction in Altoona, at the site of the former Bon Secours hospital. This complex will be home to 170 units with an indoor swimming pool, salon and spa, bistro, game room, theatre room, library, historical room, chapel and parking garage for tenants to enjoy. The common space will be decorated with large pillars, marble floors and a fountain giving the feel of an Italian Villa. The Palazzo will also offer an 80 bed personal care home floor for those needing additional care in a beautiful home like environment. Jeff and Vikki Long purchased LaScalia’s Restaurant, formerly of Tyrone and built a new location inside Graystone Altoona. Now known as The Villa Restaurant, it continues to serve quality home cooked meals, steaks and seafood along with daily specials and homemade soups and desserts. The Villa Restaurant also offers a banquet facility which seats up to 35.
Jeff and his wife Vikki have two daughters, Emily and Amy. Jeff is currently planning a cottage style housing development off Spruce Creek Road in Huntingdon County, known as Emily Estates, named after his oldest daughter. The plan includes 82 cottage homes along with common grounds. In October 2018, Jeff broke ground for his third personal care home on towne Center Boulevard in Huntingdon adjacent to his Graystone Villas property.
We are excited to see Graystone continue to grow and serve our wonderful communities.
