Graystone Court was developed in January 2000 to provide services to older adults with moderate incomes. The management at Graystone Court believes that there is a need to provide quality, affordable housing to those persons seeking a safe, and maintenance free home.

Graystone Court began by building moderately priced housing for independent living. The first project for this newly formed company was the renovation of the former Adams Elementary School abandoned when the community built new facilities. Graystone Court liked the location because it was situated in a residential neighborhood and it provided an opportunity to retain some of the history of Tyrone by keeping the former school intact.

Graystone Court finished a two-story addition in Tyrone and is currently located in the Bellmeade area off I-99, which is near a grocery store, pharmacy, beauty salon and restaurant. This 59-unit complex is equipped with an elevator, parking garage, laundry facility, library, exercise room and social hall with full kitchen and a cozy fireplace. All units are fully equipped with Whirlpool appliances including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Many units have additional features such as a washer & dryer and patio balcony.

Our third location in scenic Bedford opened in March of 2004. It is a three-story, 42 unit complex following the path of Graystone Bellmeade. Next, we expanded our horizons to beautiful Roaring Spring, a 54-unit complex opened there in November 2004. A 39-unit addition to Graystone Bellmeade opened in June of 2005 and Graystone Hollidaysburg opened its 48-unit complex in November 2005. Graystone Clearfield followed, opening in March 2006 and GraystoneEbensburg in August 2006, both containing 42 units. The next project was a 54-unit addition to GraystoneRoaring Spring, which opened its doors in December 2006.

In 2007, Graystone changed its path with the creation of Graystone Villas. The first Villas location; a 7-story, 152 unit high rise, located off of Plank Road in Altoona opened in September 2008. Graystone Villas Altoona has an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, salon, game room, exercise and wellness center and individual parking garages. A second Villas location in Richland opened in May 2010. The Richland Villas is an 8-story, 149 unit complex, styled after Altoona. GraystoneVillas Huntingdon, a 6-story, 82 unit complex opened July 2011, next to Walmart, off Route 22. This building resembles Altoona and Richland, and has a library, game room, beautiful community rooms, gazebo, and optional garages and private patios. Graystone Villas, Punxsutawney was opened at the site of the former Mary E. Wilson Elementary School in 2012. The school was remodeled to maintain the history and house 17 unique apartments along with a luxurious community room, game room, fitness center, banquet room, gazebo, storage and semi-private parking garages. Additionally, an eight story tower of apartments was attached offering a panoramic view of town. In November 2014, Graystone opened a 10 story, 144 unit complex off of the Benner Pike in Bellefonte. This property is complimented with all of Punxsutawney’s amenities along with an indoor swimming pool. The newest Graystone Court Villas opened in Clearfield, neighboring the current Graystone property in September 2016. This 8-story complex includes a banquet room, game room, library, fitness center, community rooms, private storage and semi-private parking garages.

Graystone Grande Palazzo, the most extravagant property to date, opened fall of 2020. Phase I offers 99 apartments along with a shopping center on the first floor. This offers tenants and public the indulgence of the Stone Cellar Restaurant, Palazzo Purse Shop, Humble & Kind Boutique, Green Bean Coffee Shop, Dr. Marquez dentistry, Beltone hearing aid center, Evolution Physical Therapy, The Colosseum Salon and Spa, pool, hot tub, and sauna. Phase II will open soon with 39 additional units and a theatre room. The second floor houses Graystone Manor, an 85 bed state of the art personal care home. This continuum of care offers home like suites that allow residents to find the balance of independence, services that fit their lifestyle, and high quality personal care. Graystone Manor has two additional locations in Bellmeade and Huntingdon.

Graystone isn’t done yet! Jeff Long is proud to announce Phase III coming to the Grande Palazzo. The Casa Bella will add 195 luxurious units and a 220 car indoor parking garage. These 1 & 2 bedroom, 1 ½ bath apartments will range from 700 to 1800 square feet. Unique to Casa Bella is our indoor/outdoor rooftop fitness center. Pickleball and the half-court basketball court are among a couple ways residents can stay active and fit. The enclosed skywalk connecting Casa Bella to the Grande Palazzo affords residents easy access to the theatre room, chapel and Shoppes.
