The company’s first project in 1999 was the renovation of the former Adams Elementary School in Tyrone. This location was carefully selected for its setting within a quiet residential neighborhood and for the opportunity it provided to preserve a meaningful piece of Tyrone’s history by maintaining the integrity of the original school building.

Following the success of its first development, Graystone Court completed a two-story addition in Tyrone and expanded by opening a second location in the Bellmeade area off I-99. Conveniently situated near a grocery store, pharmacy, beauty salon, and restaurant, the Bellmeade community offers both comfort and accessibility. The 60-unit complex features an elevator, parking garage, laundry facility, library, exercise room, and a welcoming social hall complete with a full kitchen and cozy fireplace.

Graystone Court continued its expansion with the opening of its third location in scenic Bedford in March 2004. This three-story, 42-unit community was developed using the successful Bellmeade model as its foundation. Later that year, growth extended to beautiful Roaring Spring with the opening of a 54-unit complex in November 2004. In the years that followed, development accelerated. A 39-unit addition to Graystone Bellmeade was completed in June 2005, and Graystone Hollidaysburg welcomed residents to its 48-unit community in November 2005. Expansion continued in 2006 with the opening of Graystone Clearfield in March and Graystone Ebensburg in August, each offering 42 units. The year concluded with a 54-unit addition to Graystone Roaring Spring in December 2006, further strengthening Graystone Court’s presence and commitment to serving communities throughout the region.

All Graystone Court apartments are fully equipped with Whirlpool appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Many units also offer additional features such as an in-unit washer and dryer and a private patio or balcony, providing added comfort and convenience for residents.

In 2007, Graystone Court took a new path with the introduction of Graystone Villas. The Villas were designed to offer an enhanced lifestyle option, featuring nine distinct floor plans with larger and more luxurious one- and two-bedroom apartments.

The first Graystone Villas location opened in September 2008 off Plank Road in Altoona. This seven-story, 152-unit high-rise community offers an array of upscale amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, restaurant, salon, game room, exercise and wellness center, and semi-private parking garages.

A second Villas community opened in Richland in May 2010. This eight-story, 149-unit complex was modeled after the Altoona location and provides similar high-quality accommodations and amenities. In July 2011, Graystone Villas Huntingdon opened as a six-story, 82-unit community. While it offers many of the same amenities as the other Villas locations, it does not include an indoor pool or restaurant. Instead, residents enjoy access to a spacious banquet room for parties and catered events. Conveniently located off Route 22 next to Walmart, the Huntingdon community combines comfort, convenience, and accessibility.

Graystone Villas Punxsutawney was developed on the site of the former Mary A. Wilson Elementary School, thoughtfully preserving the building’s history and character. The renovated school now houses 17 unique apartments, along with a luxurious community room, game room, fitness center, banquet room, gazebo, storage areas, and semi-private garages. Complementing the historic structure, an eight-story, 56 unit tower offers residents panoramic views of the town.

Graystone Villas Bellefonte opened just off Benner Pike in November 2014. This impressive 10-story community features 143 apartments, including two spacious suites. Residents enjoy a wide range of amenities, such as an indoor pool, banquet room, game room, library, beauty salon, fitness center, community rooms, storage, and semi-private garages.

The last Graystone Court Villas is located in Clearfield, adjacent to the existing Graystone Court property. This eight-story complex offers a banquet room, game room, library, fitness center, community rooms, private storage, and semi-private garages. As with all Graystone Court properties, all utilities—including electric, gas, water, sewer, garbage, and cable television—are included in the monthly rent, providing residents with added convenience and value. Every Villas apartment also includes a washer and dryer in addition to a full suite of modern appliances.

Graystone Grande Palazzo, the most luxurious property developed to date, opened in the fall of 2020. Phase I & II feature 138 upscale apartments along with a vibrant first-floor shopping center, offering both residents and the public a variety of conveniences and amenities. Tenants enjoy access to the Stone Cellar Restaurant, Palazzo Purse Shop, Humble & Kind Boutique, Parlor Doughnuts and Coffee Shop, Dr. Marquez Dentistry, Beltone Hearing Aid Center, Evolution Physical Therapy, The Colosseum Salon and Spa, chapel and theatre room as well as an indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. The second floor is home to Graystone Manor, an 85-bed, state-of-the-art personal care residence. This continuum of care model provides comfortable, home-like suites designed to help residents maintain independence while receiving personalized services tailored to their individual needs. In addition to the Grande Palazzo location, Graystone Manor also operates 2 additional personal care communities in Bellmeade and Huntingdon, further extending its commitment to quality care and support.

Phase III known as Graystone Casa Bella is newly opened as of December 2025. The largest, most extravagant units to date offer spacious 1 and 2 bedrooms with choice of 1.5-2 baths. An enclosed skywalk connects the CasaBella to the Grande Palazzo, providing easy, weatherproof access to all of its exceptional amenities. Mornings here start with a daily breakfast buffet while relaxing by the fireplace or rooftop lounge and taking in the stunning city views.

Graystone Cottage Community marks Graystone’s first single-family home development. This rural community featuring 81 homes, is the ideal choice for anyone seeking both a strong sense of community and the privacy of their own yard. Each 1,600 sq. ft. home includes an open floor plan with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car garage, and generous front and back porches.

The community also features “Sage Creek Lodge,” a central gathering space where residents can enjoy a fitness center, common areas for game nights and activities, and larger group events. The Sage Creek Lodge is available for public rental as well, providing a versatile space for special occasions and community gatherings.
